 SMOKE/FIRE/CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS
The Fire Marshal is responsible for pending sales of residential and commercial properties relative to Smoke, Fire and Carbon Monoxide Detectors.

Inspection Fee: $30.00 per visit

 BUILDING PLANS
The Fire Marshal reviews plans for any new residential and commercial building being constructed in the Chepachet Fire District.

Plan Review Fee: $50.00
Final Inspection Fee: $20.00

 COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES
The Fire Marshal is responsible for making inspections for Life Safety and State Fire Code Standards.

 BURNING PERMITS

Burning Permits will be issued on day of the burn only, providing the fire danger is a low class level.

The fire level is issued by the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management Division of Forestry.

There is no fee for a burning permit.
